Jul 24, 2011 I am having the same problem. I am getting an alert that the software cannot be installed on my computer. I have a late 2006 MacBook Pro, model number A1211. I used Wipe Dirve to erase the HD. And after I completed the wipe I inserted the Mac OS X Install Disc 1 that came with the computer. Oct 22, 2014 My current OS is 10.6.8, everything is up-to-date. The app store allows me to download Yosemite, but once it is completed, it errors out with 'Alert OSXFULLMARKETINGNAME cannot be installed on this computer'. Any clue what I could do in this case to troubleshoot this any further? Thank you very much - all help is highly appreciated.

If you can't download or save the Windows support software:
- If the assistant says that the Windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive, or that the USB flash drive can't be used, make sure that your USB flash drive has a storage capacity of at least 16GB and is formatted correctly.
